Completion of Primary Education (PEC), High School Certificate (JSC) and equivalent exams were canceled due to the Corona epidemic. It has been decided to release the results without conducting major public examinations such as HSC. 75 lakh students will pass the alternate assessment. Now the question arises, what will happen with the postponed exams of the National University. Teachers, parents and students have demanded to think again about the National University exams in the form of these three exams.
About 29 lakh 10 thousand students are studying in different courses at the National University. Students of public and private schools of the National University also feel apprehensive about their working age. That is why they have demanded progress in education through an alternative evaluation system.
The parents of these students said that due to the Corona epidemic, the National University students are not currently in any kind of education. Corona is consuming your time. Even those who have finished the exam preparation cannot take the exam; As a result, many suffer from emotional disturbances. No education, no exams. Meanwhile, age is passing. So students at this level must also go to the next level through an alternate assessment, so that they remain in the study. Otherwise, the young society is in danger of being lost.
Rajjab Ali, a parent, said that students currently in their fourth year at the National University must receive certificates in the alternative assessment system. So that there is no obstacle to entering working life. Otherwise, age can be a problem for many as they enter working life.
The National University fourth-year exam was supposed to end in March. But on March 16 of this year, the educational institution was closed. Although most of the subjects were tested, two to five subjects were trapped due to the Corona epidemic. They have been waiting ever since; When will the test take place? So 9-10 months have passed. Anxiety and frustration increase in many; When will the rest of the tests end? And when will the test results come out. Because if the fourth year is not finished, the certificate will not match. And if the certificate does not match, you will not participate in the proof of work. Rafiqul Alam is a fourth-year honors candidate from the National University. He said his education would have ended if he had taken four exams. But I’m stuck for Corona. Corona has also posted hiring notices in many governmental and non-governmental organizations. If the results were published, I would have a chance to try the job, but I can’t. How long will the application last? The government has increased the age of entry by six months. But that time is also passing. According to Rafiqul, the National University authorities can announce the results of the fourth year exam after evaluating the results of the first, second and third years. It would have benefited at least 4 lakh of students.
Chuadanga Government School, student of the Department of Mathematics. Rezaul Karim said that after his five tests, his other tests were postponed due to the corona virus epidemic. We demand the publication of the results based on the evaluation of the exams in these five subjects.
Students recently mounted a human chain in front of the main door of the National University office in Gazipur demanding automatic passage. This claim was made by BA (Honors) and fourth year candidates from different universities on the basis of the exam results.
The degree approval course at the National University was to be held between the second and third year, the final of the master’s in April. But these tests were postponed due to a corona infection. The course to pass the degree was supposed to have 34 exams each year. A teacher named Nazrul Amin said that with the results of these levels, one should have the opportunity to move to the next level. There is no effective online learning. In August, the first-year Masters Preliminary, Honors exams were due to take place. There are 31 subjects in each year. But due to Corona, the university authorities could not prepare the schedule for this exam. Students at these levels also demanded to pass their next level.

Academic and former Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi University. Abdul Khaleq said the same rules apply to national universities and other public universities. There is no opportunity to pass automatically or for an alternate assessment at a higher level like HSC. This test should be done online if necessary.
Rector of the National Prof. Maryland University. Mashiur Rahman said the issue of the automatic side is not yet being considered. We are waiting. Taking into account the health of the students, at the moment there will be no face-to-face exams. Then we have to wait. Waiting for the educational institution to open. Vaccines will fix the problem.
Dean Professor of the National University. Maryland. Nasir Uddin said that exams can be taken within a week or two of the opening of the educational institution. We have all the preparations. But if the government makes any other decision, it is a different matter. He commented that it would not be correct to give an automatic pass at this educational level.
In 2014, a unique crash program was adopted to reduce long-term session congestion at national universities. Because of this, the academic year was eight months instead of one year. Teaching and learning are not a big problem, the purpose of the program was to reduce the confusion of the sessions with the tests. But the students had to fight on that show.
Test after test is postponed. Even after the passage of time, the exam schedule is not going to be carried out. It is expected that even if the educational program resumes on January 7, it will take at least three years to reduce the burden.
