Runu returned from Saudi Arabia after losing his mental balance

Khulna’s Runu Begum returned home from Saudi Arabia one day before International Mental Health Day after losing his mental balance. She went abroad to work as a domestic worker to change her fortune and returned after losing her mental balance.

Runu Begum is known to have arrived in the country from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 1:45 pm on Friday (October 9). He was wandering around the airport in unusual ways after arriving. The armored police spoke to him but did not get a normal response. Subsequently, the armed airport police took the initiative to hand him over to his family through the airport’s expatriate welfare desk. But after failing to contact the family, BRAC’s immigration assistance was taken. The Namira Overseas Recruitment Agency (RL-1013) and the Hanif Village Corridor sent Runu to Saudi Arabia in March 2017 as a maid.

Al Amin Nayan, Manager of the BRAC Migration Information Center, said: “We were informed about Runu Begum around 8:30 pm. An attempt is being made to contact his family. We arrange safe accommodation before handing it over to your family. Runu is under the care of a volunteer at BRAC’s Safe Home. Family members will really deliver it to you.
