Five-time world champion Brazil got off to a great start in the World Cup qualifiers in the South American region. Tito’s sons beat Bolivia 5-0 at home.
Liverpool star Roberto Firmino scored a pair of goals in the team’s victory on the opening day of Qatar’s mission at the 2022 World Cup. Philippe Coutinho and Marquinhos scored. Firmino scored the second goal in the 49th minute by touching Neymar’s extended ball. The Bolivian goalkeeper could not stop his shot. Ten minutes later, Neymar’s only effort went over the crossbar.
In the 8th minute, Bolivian defender Karaska wrapped his own net at the bottom of the cross delivered to Coutinho’s area. Brazil went ahead with four goals.
Goal again in 63 minutes. Neymar is once again the source of the goal. On this occasion, the Barcelona star Coutinho scored the fifth goal by jumping after receiving the flying ball that Neymar gave him.
With this victory, Brazil has risen to the top of the South American region with an average of goals. Neymar will play the second game against Peru on Wednesday.
