The girl was abducted on September 25 and kept in a house in the Natun Bazar area of Raipur upazila in Laxmipur. There they raped her for 13 days in a row.
Meanwhile, the girl’s guardians searched for Kamrul Islam in the Natun Bazar area of Raipur Upazila on Wednesday night and rescued the girl from there. They later handed him over to the police.
The girl’s mother filed a case under the Rape and Pornography Act with the Faridganj Police Station late at night.
Faridganj (current duty) police officer Mohammad Shahid Hossain said the defendant was arrested on Wednesday evening and sent to Chandpur court on Thursday afternoon. Later, the court sent him to jail. On the other hand, the victim’s statement has been registered in court together with the victim’s medical examination.
