Sonagazi Model Police arrested a man named Tamiz Uddin Nayan, 50, for raping an eighth-grade schoolgirl (12) in Sonagazi, Feni. He was arrested at his residence at Chuni Majhi Bari in Vadadia village at 10:30 pm on Thursday.
According to the police, the victim, his family and the locals, Tamiz Uddin Nayan, son of the late Syed Ahmed of Chuni Majhi Bari in Vadadia village, is a furniture merchant in front of his home. On Thursday, October 1, around 8 in the morning, the schoolgirl of an employee of her store took the girl to her store and raped her while she was going to private classes. Nayan also threatened to kill her father if he told anyone about the incident. When Nayan’s wife saw the matter with her own eyes, Nayan also hit her to shut her mouth. The problem spread to social media Facebook after the husband and wife had one ear and two ears in the fight. At around 8 p.m. Thursday, the student opened her mouth to her parents and described the incident. The student’s mother filed a case against Tamiz Uddin Nayan at the Sonagazi Model Police Station on Thursday night. Nayan became the abused student’s uncle.
