Supreme CourtThe Superior Court has announced the verdict ordering private educational institution index teachers to be given the opportunity to change (transfer) the institution. According to lawyers, the ruling will allow more than three lakh private teachers (MPO) with registration certificate and unregistered index to participate in the NTRC recruitment process as departmental candidates for change of workplace (educational institution) starting now (with previous experience and seniority).
Thursday (October 8) Justice. The High Court tribunal consisting of Ashraful Kamal and Judge Rajik Al Jalil rendered the verdict.
Lawyer Siddique Ullah Miah and Lawyer Noor Muhammad Azmi (Millat) were present at the hearing on behalf of the petitioners in writing. They were assisted by Barrister Mizan-ur-Rashid and Advocate ASM Sayem.
In early February, the Superior Court had ordered the completion of the opportunity creation process for unregistered index holders to request a change of institution of indexed professors within 60 days. In 2019, a writ petition was filed in the Superior Court on behalf of a total of 61 teachers from different parts of the country. The Superior Court rendered the verdict after the final hearing of the writ petition.
By the way, despite the policy, there was no opportunity for private teachers (MPOs) to change jobs while retaining their jobs as departmental candidates. Instead, he had to compete with all the other candidates to be recruited from other institutions. Again, those who only had an index but were not registered had no chance of recruiting. Therefore, an appeal petition was filed with the Superior Court in search of legal redress in this regard.
