Two months ago, two teenage girls were gang-raped while visiting Ashulia in Dhaka. After capturing the video of the rape and taking pictures on the skin, they spread to the messenger group. No one has reported the incident to the police. However, when the matter came to light, members of the security forces began the operation.
Police arrested four teenagers, including a gang leader, from Vadail and Nayarhat in Ashulia on Wednesday morning. They are Saruf, Zakir, Rakib and Diamond Alamin.
Ashulia Police Inspector (Investigation) Ziaul Islam said the four arrested were members of a local gang of teenagers. An attempt is being made to arrest 9 more of his associates. The four detainees are residents of the Vadail area.
It emerged that on August 30, two girlfriends went for a walk with two young neighbors in the Pabnartech area of Vadail in Ashulia. At that time, 10 to 12 teenagers led by a gang of Saruf teenagers beat the two young men who were with the two teenagers and drove them away. They later recorded a video of the gang rape.
The video was leaked due to the conflict between the teen gangs. Police raided the scene and arrested four people.
