This year there will be no high school exams (HSC) and equivalents. However, this time the government is considering admission to a batch system.

The education minister told this information at a virtual press conference on Wednesday. Dipu Moni. The minister attended the press conference at 1pm today regarding the HSC exam.

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said: “The results of the evaluation will be released in December this year. An advisory committee has been formed with the ministry secretary to decide what action will be taken against those who have changed departments. The committee will have a chairman of the Dhaka Board of Education and representatives from Dhaka University, BUET and Medical College. They will give advice in November.

The Minister of Education also said: “We hope to be able to carry out the admission tests in all types of universities in an integrated way. That decision will be made in consultation with the university considering the situation. Because there are still three months left. After three months, a decision will be made based on the situation for that evaluation.

‘With the protection of the health of the examinees and their families in mind, I have decided not to take the HSC and the 2020 equivalent exam directly. I have planned to do the exam in a different way without doing it. Since those who are taking the HSC exams have taken two exams, there is an opportunity to evaluate them.

However, those who have prepared better than the previous test, if there will be discrimination in their case, in response to the question of the journalists. Dipu Moni said: ‘It just so happens that the previous test worked well, the next one may not work as well as expected. I don’t see a better way to do it considering all aspects.

The virtual briefing was attended by Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel, two secretaries from the Department of Secondary and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and the Department of Technical Education and Madrasah and the presidents of the country’s education boards.

This year’s HSC and equivalent exams were supposed to start on April 1. Around 12 lakh students from all over the country were supposed to take part in the exam. But the test was postponed on March 22 due to the increase in corona infection in the country. The Minister of Education announced the final decision on the exam today.
