At least three people were killed and 12 others injured when a passenger bus lost control and fell into a ditch in Islampur in Brahmanbaria’s Vijayanagar upazila on the Dhaka-Sylhet road. The deceased were identified as Ashraful Islam, 35, son of Nazrul Islam from Agangar village in Bancharampur upazila, Abdullah, 55, son of Sundar Ali from Ranger Gao area of Habiganj district and Al Amin, 40 .
At least 12 other passengers were injured in the accident. Upon receiving the news, the locals as well as the staff of the Brahmanbaria Khatihata Highway Police and the Sarail Fire Service rushed to the scene and conducted a rescue operation and sent the victims to the Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex Hospital. in Habiganj.
