The Begumganj Police Station, SI Shahid Ullah, said the victim’s father suddenly fell into the room around 6:15 pm. He and the policemen picked him up and gave him water. He was sent home after recovering a bit.
On September 2, around 9 pm, local Badal and his associates entered the house of the housewife in the Khalpar area of the Eklaspur union 9 district of Begumganj upazila and tied her husband in the next room.
Then they tried to rape the housewife. When the housewife intervened, they stripped naked, brutally beat her and recorded videos on their mobile phones. It was spread on the Internet. This incident caused a commotion throughout the country.
The aggrieved housewife (35) filed a case on Sunday night around 1 am alleging attempted rape.
