Judge Masfiqul Haque of the Noakhali Judicial Court of First Instance (Amli Court No. 3) granted pre-trial detention on Tuesday afternoon. So far, four people have been detained in this case. The victim filed a case with the Begumganj Police Station under the Prevention of Abuse of Women and Children Act and the Pornography Control Act on Sunday evening. Seven to eight other unidentified people were named as defendants. Meanwhile, five people, including four defendants in two cases, have been arrested. The police detained the two defendants yesterday for six days.

The five arrested are Moazzem Hossain alias Sohag, 42, member of Eklashpur UP, Badal (22), son of Rahmat Ullah of Mohar Ali Munsibari from Madhyam Eklashpur village in Eklashpur Union District 9, defendant No. 1 in the case, Son of Bhuiyanbari Sheikh Ahmed Dulal. Rahim (20), Defendant No. 5 Saju (21) from Nawab Ali Bepari Bari of East Eklashpur District No. 4 and Defendant No. 9 Mohar Ali from Eklashpur Village No. 9 of Eklashpur. Rahmat Ullah (41 years old).

The RAB-11 arrested Delwar along with weapons and ammunition after searching a bus on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in the Shimrail area below the Siddhirganj police station in Narayanganj on Sunday night. However, his name does not appear in the two cases brought to the Begumganj police station. In both cases, seven to eight unidentified people have been charged.

However, Delwar has been in pre-trial detention for two days in the Siddhirganj Police Station arms case. Delwar was presented in the Judicial Court of First Instance this afternoon and the investigating officer of the case requested a preventive detention of seven days. After the hearing, Judge Fahmida Begum granted a two-day preventive detention.
