Maulana Abdul Quader, the superintendent of that madrasa in Mirpur, Kushtia, has given a statement under section 164 in court regarding the rape of an eighth grade student. Kushtia’s chief judicial magistrate, First Court Judge Delwar Hossain, recorded his statement at 3.30pm on Tuesday.
At the deposition, the madrasa super student has confessed to repeatedly raping her.
It is known that the victim was a resident of a women’s madrasa in the Poradaha union of Mirpur upazila. During the Fajr prayers on Sunday, the madrasa superintendent Maulana Abdul Quader called the girl to her room and raped her. He called the girl into her room around 8 pm and raped her a second time.
Super also threatened the girl not to tell anyone about the matter. However, the girl informed one of her classmates on Monday morning. And when the colleague informed his father about the incident, he made himself known in the area.
The girl’s father filed a case against Abdul Quader at Mirpur Police Station on Monday. Later that night, police arrested Abdul Quader from the Poradaha area. When he appeared before the Kushtia Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday afternoon, he pleaded guilty under Section 164 of the Penal Code.
According to police and judicial sources, Abdul Quader confessed to repeatedly raping the girl in his statement.
Meanwhile, the police rescued the victim and sent her to Kushtia General Hospital for a medical examination.
Mirpur OC Abul Kalam Azad Police Station said Abdul Quader was arrested in the Poradaha area on Monday. He was presented in the Kushtia Judicial Court of First Instance on Tuesday afternoon. In his statement given under article 164, he admitted that he had repeatedly raped the girl.
