CID special police superintendent, SM Ashraful Alam, told reporters on Tuesday after the arrest of Abdus Salam, a mechanic with the Health Education Office, that he was on the run in the case.

He told a press conference at the CID office that Salam was arrested on October 5 in the Banasree area. He had been on the run since his firing in 2015. He will be sent to court on Tuesday and detained for 10 days.
Previously, 10 more people were arrested in connection with the leaking of the questionnaires.

He said that three people named Jasimuddin Bhuiyan, Zakir Hossain and SM Sanwar Hossain were arrested on July 19. According to the information provided by them, seven more people were arrested.

“All the detainees are related to each other. It was learned from them that Jasim’s cousin, Salam, was the one who leaked the question. The questions would come out through him and Jasim would spread through his network.

The CID official said the investigation revealed disturbing information. Names of 5-6 physicians participating in the medical and dental school question document leak cycle. The names of 3-4 training centers through which the questions were sent to the students are also mentioned.

He said that the interested authorities would be informed to take the necessary measures against these doctors.

Ashraful said the defendant in the Saiful Islam Kamal murder case was more intoxicated from buying land than depositing money in Salam’s bank.

“The money was deposited in the bank at the time of medical admission. Other times the transaction was very low. Previously, a check for Tk 2 crore 30 lakh and a savings certificate worth Tk 2 crore 26 lakh from Jasim were found ”.

CID officials said the names of some of the people most involved in leaks of medical and dental admission test questions were found, and efforts are underway to arrest them.
