Kushtia: Police arrested Abdul Quader, 42, from Mirpur in Kushtia, for allegedly raping an eighth grade student.
Mirpur police arrested him in a raid in the Poradaha area at 9:30 pm on Monday (October 5).
The arrested Abdul Quader is the super (director) of Sirajul Uloom Maryam Nesa Madrasa in Swarupadaha Chawkpara area of Poradaha junction of Mirpur upazila.
On Monday (October 5) afternoon, the victim’s father had filed a complaint against the superintendent of the madrasa at the Mirpur police station.
Mirpur Police Officer in Charge (OC) Abul Kalam confirmed the arrest and said that the only defendant in the case of raping an eighth grade student in the madrasa office was arrested around 9:30 p.m. .
