In Begumganj, Noakhali, four people have been arrested so far for torturing a woman by stripping her naked in the dead of night and spreading the video of the torture on social media.

The victim filed a case at the Begumganj police station last night. Nine people have been named in the case and eight to nine more have been named defendants.
Several people from the Anantapur and Jayakrishnapur villages of Eklashpur Union, who did not want to be identified, said yesterday that the woman was married three years ago. The husband left her and remarried elsewhere. Her husband had no contact with her for a long time. On the night of September 2, the husband entered the woman’s house. Delwar, the head of the local drug trafficking force, saw the incident and entered the house with his men around 10 at night, slandering the woman and beating her. At one point, he was beaten and stripped naked and his video was recorded.
After watching the video, many people condemned the incident on social media and demanded exemplary punishment for the perpetrators.
