The RAB arrested two more people, including the main defendant in the case brought in connection with the rape and indecent assault of a housewife in Begumganj of Noakhali.
The detainees are Badal, the main accused, and Delwar, the other accused. Badal was arrested in Dhaka and Delwar in Narayanganj with weapons.

So far, four defendants have been arrested in the incident.
Previously, the police carried out a two-point operation in the incident and arrested two people. One defendant was arrested at 4 p.m. Sunday and the other at 11 p.m. in District 9 of the Eklashpur Union in Begumganj Upazila of Noakhali. They are the son of Sheikh Ahmed Dulal, Md. Abdur Rahim (22) and Mohar Ali Munshi from the same area, son of the late Abdur Rahim. Rahmat Ullah (41 years old).
According to local and police sources, the victim was married three years ago. The husband remarried and lived elsewhere. She had not had contact with her husband for a long time. On the night of September 2, her husband came to see her. Upon hearing about the local Delwar, Rahim, Badal, Kalam and other associates in the area went to the housewife’s home. There they tortured the housewife together with her husband, claiming that he had committed immoral acts. They recorded a video of the housewife undressing. Delwar is charged with drug trafficking.
As seen in the video, the housewife is doing everything possible to protect her dignity; But some of the young men who were torturing him took off his clothes and started saying something against him. At that moment he called the attackers ‘parents’ and grabbed them by the legs. But a young man kicked him several times in the face and trampled his body with his feet. He also used to hit his body with a stick. They tried to capture his nude photo. One raised his hand and encouraged him. Another removed the remaining clothing from his body. At the time, someone yelled that they would spread the incident on Facebook.
The father of the victim’s housewife said: ‘I am an innocent man. I do not dare to speak out for fear of terrorists. I only want justice from Allah.’
Acting President of Eklashpur Union Parishad Firoz Alam Bhuiyan demanded the arrest of those involved in the incident.
The Begumganj Model Police Station said that when the matter came to its attention, the Noakhali Police Superintendent ordered the police station CO to take immediate action. The tortured housewife was later rescued from her father’s house last night. OC Harun Aur Rashid Chowdhury police said the operation was underway to arrest the remaining defendants.
Police Superintendent. Alamgir Hossain said that no one involved in the incident of torturing the housewife will be released. Five units of the district police are working on the ground to arrest the accused and provide legal assistance to the victim’s family.
