Ambassadors and diplomats from different prominent countries in Bangladesh have highly praised the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina is a role model of discipline and hard work.
They praised Sheikh Hasina’s leadership and Bangladesh’s progress in a webinar on Saturday night. This webinar was organized by the International Subcommittee of the Awami League.
This information has been provided in a press release issued by the Center for Research and Information (CRI), a research institute of the Awami League. India’s Acting High Commissioner Biswajit Dey, citing the congratulatory message sent by Narendra Modi on the Prime Minister’s birthday, is said to have praised the development of Bangladesh in the past 10 years. He said the economic growth of Bangladesh in Corona is commendable. He described the relations between Bangladesh and India under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina as a “golden chapter” and expressed the hope that the development relations between the two countries would be taken to new heights.
Turkish Ambassador Mostafa Osman Turan said that despite many obstacles in her political life, Sheikh Hasina is now a role model for women’s leadership in the world and in Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina has lifted millions of people out of poverty and has reached a new level in the empowerment of women. She also expressed the hope that Turkey’s relations with Bangladesh will be further strengthened under her leadership.
On behalf of his country’s Prime Minister, Abdullah Al Hamidi, an official at the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Dhaka, wished the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, a happy birthday. Hamidi said that stability has come (in Bangladesh) under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina and that Bangladesh is on the path of development. He expressed the hope that the progress started by Sheikh Hasina would soon turn Bangladesh into a golden Bengal.
Japan’s Ambassador Ito Naoki described Sheikh Hasina as an advocate for the safety of life.
Naoki said Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly to build a Bangladesh without hunger and without poverty. It is respectful of human rights. Citing the Prime Minister’s last visit to Japan in 2014, he said that relations between Bangladesh and Japan have reached another height under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. He also said that Japan will continue its overall cooperation in infrastructure development to achieve Sheikh Hasina’s Vision 2041 goal.
The EU Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ranje Tirink, expressed his hope for a lasting solution to the Rohingya problem in Bangladesh. He also praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s statement at the UN General Assembly.
Mia Seppo, the UN Resident Coordinator in Bangladesh, said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina watches over all the problems in Bangladesh and every area of the country and the way she works sincerely to solve all the problems is really rare. Praising Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s tireless work at the time, he said: “She is a role model of discipline and hard work.”
Special Assistant to Prime Minister Shah Ali Farhad led the show. Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, Foreign Minister of State Shahriar Alam, Awami League Subcommittee on International Affairs Chairman Mohammad Jamir, International Affairs Secretary Shammi Ahmed and others were present at the occasion.
