A video of the indecent exposure of a naked housewife near Barkhal in the 9th district of Eklashpur Union in Begumganj Upazila of Noakhali has been spread through social media. As seen in the video, five young men, including Delwar, Badal, Kalam and Abdur Rahim, the head of Delwar’s forces, stripped the woman. Begumganj police arrested a 22-year-old man named Abdur Rahim on Sunday afternoon.
The incident took place 20/25 days ago at Nur Islam Miah’s home in the Khalpar area of Ward 9 of the Eklashpur Union of Upazila. The video of the tortured housewife was released on social media Facebook on Sunday afternoon.
As seen in the video, the housewife was stripped naked, kicked in the face and beaten to death, which went viral on Facebook. While recording the video, the housewife grabbed the scoundrels several times and called them parents, but the video recording did not stop.
After the matter went viral via social media, Noakhali Police Superintendent Mohammad Alamgir Hossain ordered the OC of the Begumganj Model Police Station to take immediate action.
The police superintendent said police rescued the victim from her father’s home today. He told police that the video was taken 20/25 days ago today. However, he could not pin down the exact date. In addition, 5 police units are conducting operations to arrest the scoundrels seen in the video.
Model Begumganj OC Harun Aur Rashid Chowdhury Police Station said Abdur Rahim, who was immediately involved in the incident, was arrested. Apart from this, the operation continues to stop the rest. He said he would talk to the girl at night.
