Noakhali: A housewife has been gang-raped in Noakhali’s Begumganj upazila with her husband tied up. They also stripped her and tortured her.

The video captured during the torture has been posted on Facebook.

It emerged that the video of the incident that occurred 32 days ago was posted on Facebook at noon on Sunday (October 4). As a result, it came to the attention of the local administration.

For the last 32 days since the incident, local defendants Delwar, Badal, Kalam and their associates have been blocking the victim’s family. According to locals, the Begumganj police visited the site around 4 pm on Sunday and arrested the young accused. Detainee Abdur Rahim (27) is a resident of Haridhan Bari in the Eklashpur Union village of East Eklashpur.

According to locals, the incident took place at Nur Islam Miah’s home in the Khalpar area of Eklashpur union district 9 in upazila on September 2.

Begumganj Police Officer in Charge (CO) Harun Ur Rashid Chowdhury said police were present at the scene. One person has been arrested in the incident. The lock hangs in the victim’s room. The housewife was not found at home. If the victim is found, it will be known whether it is an incident of gang rape or torture.
