Noakhali Representative: A group of local youths have tried to torture and rape a housewife at her father’s house in Eklashpur, Begumganj, Noakhali. They also recorded a video of the tortured housewife being stripped and brutally beaten.
The video of the tortured housewife was posted on social media Facebook on Sunday afternoon, 32 days after the incident. After a while, it went viral.

Previously, when the accused scoundrels blocked the housewife’s family for the past 32 days, the entire incident remained invisible to the locals and the police administration.
According to locals, the Begumganj police visited the site around 4 pm on Sunday and arrested the young accused. Detainee Abdur Rahim (28) is a resident of Haridhan Bari, in the village of Eklashpur Union, in East Eklashpur.
Locals say the incident took place on September 2 at Nur Islam Miah’s home in the Khalpar area of the Eklashpur union’s 9th district in Upazila. The victim, the tortured housewife, fled in fear of the scoundrels.
The officer in charge of the Begumganj (OC) police station, Mohammad Harun Ur Rashid, said that the police were present at the scene. One person has been arrested in the incident. The housewife was not found in her father’s house. If the victim is found, it will be known whether it is an incident of rape or torture.
Noakhali Police Superintendent. Alamgir Hossain said that five units of the district police worked in the field to arrest the accused and rescue the tortured housewife. He was rescued tonight.
