Dhaka: His wife Ayesha Siddique Minni will soon appeal to the High Court against the death sentence in the notorious Rifat Sharif murder case in Barguna.
His lawyer ZI Khan Panna gave this information on Sunday (October 4).
Hours earlier, the Supreme Court administration had said that all documents in the case had reached the High Court for approval of the death sentence of six defendants, including Minni.
Lawyers said that when a court sentences a convict in a criminal case, the approval of the Superior Court is required for the execution of the sentence. Therefore, the competent judicial court sent all the documents of the case to the High Court in accordance with article 374 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. What is known as Death Reference. After receiving the document, the Death Reference Section of the Superior Court examined and prepared the paper book of the case. Once the paper book is ready, the case is presumed ready for hearing.
However, in some cases, the paper book is prepared on the priority basis under the direction of the Chief Justice.
In a video message, lawyer ZI Khan Panna said: “I just received the case documents.” We will file an appeal soon. I wish blessings to the people of the country, so that justice is established.
Meanwhile, Minni’s father, Mozammel Hossain Kishore, also attended the ZI Khan Panna Chamber at the Supreme Court Bar Association building. Then he said in response to the journalists ‘question:’ One day we talked on our mobile. Physically I did not know her (Minni). ‘
When asked what they said to him that day, Mozammel Hossain Kishore said: ‘He couldn’t say anything. Bhainga is crying.
On September 30, Barguna District Judge and Sessions. Ashaduzzaman announced the verdict in the case.
The court sentenced six of the 10 accused adults to death, including Minni. In addition, they were fined 50,000 rupees. The other four were acquitted.
Those sentenced to death are- Md. Rakibul Hasan Rifat alias Rifat Faraji, Al Qayyum alias Rabbi Akon, Mohaiminul Islam Sifat, Rezoan Ali Khan Hridoy alias Tiktak Hridoy, Md. Hasan and Ayesha Siddique Minni.

Nayan Bond, Rifat Faraji and their associates hacked and injured Rifat Sharif in front of his wife Minni in front of Calix Academy on Barguna Government College Road on June 26, 2019 at 10:30 am In critical condition, Rifat was first transferred to the Hospital General of Barguna. Later he was admitted to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. Rifat died at noon that day while receiving treatment there.
After that, Rifat’s father, Dulal Sharif, became the plaintiff and named Sabbir Ahmed alias Nayan Bond as the main defendant. Minni was first named the lead witness in the case by Rifat’s father.
Later on the morning of July 2, Nayan Bond, 25, was killed in a ‘shootout’ with police in the Purakata Ferry Ghat area of Burirchar Union at the district headquarters.
On July 17 of that year, 20 days after the murder, Minnie was taken from her father’s house to the Barguna police line for questioning. After questioning, the police arrested Minni the same night he appeared to be involved in the murder.
Subsequently, on August 29 of the same year, the Superior Court granted Minni bail. On September 1, 24 people were charged and the charge sheet was filed in court, divided into adults and minors. Of these, 10 are adults and 14 are minors.
Charges were brought against 10 accused adults on January 1. After the testimonies and arguments, the verdict was announced on September 30.
Meanwhile, the case of the minor accused in the Rifat Sharif murder case is pending in the juvenile court on September 29.
