The High Court has received reference documents for the deaths of six people, including his wife Ayesha Siddique Minni, in the notorious Rifat Sharif murder case in Barguna. According to article 374 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, a file in the form of a death reference must be sent to the High Court for approval of a death sentence handed down by a judicial court.

Supreme Court spokesman Mohammad Saifur Rahman said that the death references of those convicted, including Minni, in the murder case of Rifat Sharif from the Barguna District and Session Court of Judges reached the High Court at 10: 30 am on Sunday.

The other five convicts who have gone to the High Court are Rakibul Hasan Rifat Faraji (23), Al Qayyum alias Rabbi Ankan (21), Mohaiminul Islam alias Sifat (19), Rezwan Ali Khan alias Tiktak Hridoy (22) and Md. Hasan ( 19).

Meanwhile, Minni’s father, Mozammel Hossain Kishore, went to the High Court to appeal the death sentence. Minni’s father, Mozammel Hossain, arrived at the juvenile court on Sunday morning.

Earlier Wednesday, the court sentenced seven people, including Minni, to death in the Rifat Sharif murder case. The court acquitted 4 other defendants in the verdict.

The court ruled that Ayesha was the mastermind of the plot. Rifat’s parents have lost their children to him. If Ayesha does not receive exemplary punishment, there is a danger that girls her age will be tricked into following her. Therefore, it is advisable to give her an exemplary punishment in this case.

The full verdict of the trial court was released on Saturday.
