Big ripe mangoes hang in the Gopalganj horticulture center at the wrong time. The color of this mango called Mehedi-2 is bright yellow. Each fruit weighs 500 to 600 grams. Six of these mangoes have brought joy to officials and employees of the Government Horticulture Center in Ratil village in Kashiani upazila district. According to fruit and vegetable sources, this king fruit mango variety was brought from Thailand two years ago. The first results have arrived this year. Serves twice a year. Once in April, the buds of the tree and the fruit ripen in October (Ashwin-Kartik). Then in November it blooms again and the fruit ripens in March (Falgun-Chaitra). The Thai mango produced experimentally in the country is called Mehedi-2.

Aminul Islam, deputy director of the center, said: “Two years ago a young mango tree was brought to the Gopalganj Horticulture Center. It is not available in any other center in the country. It bears fruit twice a year. After two years of care, the tree is already mature. In addition, we sell more than two hundred species of fruit trees and seedlings. He added that not only professional fruit growers but also unemployed youth in the country can become self-sufficient by growing different types of fruits.

Domestic and foreign varieties including Brunei King, Mango, Blackberry, Litchi, Coconut, Lemon, Banana, Grapefruit, Malta, Dragon, Fig. Here are medicinal plants. Young trees are sold at low prices set by the government.
