Barguna: Minni’s father, Mozammel Hossain Kishore, went to Dhaka to appeal to the high court after receiving a copy of the full verdict in the Rifat murder case in Barguna.
Minni’s father received a certified copy of the full verdict from the Barguna Session and District Court of Judges around 7 p.m. Saturday (October 3).
The full verdict said Minni was the main culprit in Rifat’s murder.
Minni’s lawyer, Mahbubul Bari Aslam, told banglanews that he received a copy of the verdict tonight. Minni’s father went to Dhaka tonight with a copy of the verdict. He will appeal to the higher court on Sunday (October 4).
However, it was not possible to talk about it because Minni’s father’s phone was off.
On September 30, Barguna District and Session Judge Ashaduzzaman delivered the verdict in the sensational murder case. In addition to the death penalty, the court also fined the six defendants 50,000 taka. Although the police have brought charges against 24 people in connection with the murder, the trial of 10 accused adults is ongoing in this court.

Those convicted are Rakibul Hasan Rifat Faraji (24), Al Qayyum alias Rabbi Akon (22), Mohaiminul Islam Sifat (20), Rezwan Ali Khan Hridoy alias Tiktak Hridoy (23), Hasan (20) and Ayesha Siddique Minni, wife of the deceased Rifat. (twenty).
Rafiul Islam Rabbi (21), Sagar (20), Musa (23) and Kamrul Islam Simon (22) were also acquitted.
After the verdict was announced, six convicts, including Minni, were held in the condom cell of the Barguna District Jail. According to prison sources, there are no other prisoners in the condom cell, except for the six accused of Rifat’s murder.
On the morning of June 26 last year, Rifat Sharif was attacked and injured by a gang of teenagers in front of Barguna Government College. Rifat died at Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital that afternoon while undergoing treatment. The next day, June 26, Rifat’s father, Abdul Halim Dulal Sharif, filed a murder case against five or six other people, and named 12 others. Sabbir Ahmed Nayan aka Nayan Bond, the main defendant in the case , died in a ‘shootout’ with police on the morning of July 2, six days after the incident.
After the investigation, on September 1 of last year, the Barguna Judicial Court of First Instance processed 24 people and presented two investigation complaints, dividing them into adults and minors. Of these, 10 are juvenile offenders and 14 are minors. He was acquitted on the charge sheet when Nayan Bond was killed in a shooting. The trial of the case began on January 1 of this year with the formation of charges in the District Court and Session of Barguna. Testimony against 10 accused adults began on January 8. The court completed testimony against the adult accused on February 25 by taking testimony from 8 witnesses in the case. Following arguments by both parties on September 16, the verdict of 10 adult defendants was set for September 30.
