At a news conference Saturday morning, doctors said President Trump was “fine.”
“I think I can get out of here today,” Trump told a news conference.
However, the man, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the next 48 hours would be “critical” for Trump.
Trump was admitted to the Walter Reed National Medical Center from the White House on Friday afternoon, hours after being diagnosed with the Covid-19 infection.
White House physician Shawn Conley told reporters outside the hospital on Saturday that Trump was not having difficulty breathing and was not being given oxygen.
“The medical team and I are very satisfied with the progress that the president’s physical condition has made.”
Conley, however, did not say when Trump would leave the hospital.

Although the coronavirus has killed more than 200,000 people in the United States and severely damaged the country’s economy, Trump has played down the epidemic.
Where doctors place greater importance on the use of masks to prevent infections, President Trump himself has been reluctant to wear masks and has continued to criticize even those who wear masks.
Shawn Conley said Trump has already received a dose of a five-day remediation course. It has also been given Regeneron Pharmaceutical’s Piclonal Antibody Cocktail (REGN-Cov2). The medicine helps the body recover more quickly by reducing the spread of the virus.
Trump also receives zinc, vitamin D, femotidine, melatonin, and aspirin.
In a tweet Thursday night, Donald Trump said that he and first lady Melania Trump, 50, had been infected with the coronavirus.
You are at risk for the virus because of your age and weight. He has been considered healthy for so long during his tenure as president. However, it is not known if you exercise regularly or if your eating habits are healthy.
