Anup Krishna, a 35-year-old orthopedic doctor, committed suicide in the Indian state of Kerala.
Police recovered his body from his home in Kadappakara last Thursday. He wrote “I’m sorry” on the bathroom wall before committing suicide.
According to the Times of India, on September 23rd Dr. Anup’s seven-year-old daughter died during the operation. He was responsible for that surgery.
She was found guilty of murder on social media for the death of her daughter. She was also a victim of harassment. So the doctor decided to commit suicide.
However, the police have not been able to confirm whether he committed suicide for that reason. It is also being investigated whether he was threatened online or offline.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident by filing a case of unnatural death.
According to the news, ‘Anup Artho Care Hospital’ was run by Dr. Anup Krishna. On September 23, his seven-year-old daughter was admitted to her father’s hospital.
The girl suffered a heart attack during knee surgery. Her father was operating on his daughter himself. He was taken to another hospital but could not be saved.
Family and locals protested in front of the hospital over the girl’s death. Anup was charged with negligence. He was charged with medical malpractice at the Kollam East Police Station.
However, Dr. Several Kerala doctors have also opened his mouth to Anup. They said he was being harassed on social media.
According to several doctors, many doctors did not agree to operate on the girl’s knee in the covid situation. So only Anup agreed to take the risk.
“Unfortunately, we lost the baby,” she wrote on social media after her daughter’s death.
Then the trial began on social media. Many have also ruled that it is a medical crime. Many have even written that the father himself killed the daughter.
Anup has been depressed ever since. However, researchers are investigating whether he decided to commit suicide for that reason. They are talking to the family and the wife.
