Bangladesh has made strong demands in various international fora, including the United Nations, to solve the Rohingya problem and it is still in force.
He said that due to the diplomatic activities of the government of Bangladesh, various countries in the world and international courts are putting a lot of pressure on Myanmar. Due to the diplomatic success of Bangladesh, leaders from different countries have visited Rohingya camps before the outbreak of Corona. The provocative, forward-thinking and false statements of Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will hamper progress in resolving the Rohingya issue and destroy the peaceful environment.
Obaidul Quader said that the humanitarian initiatives and diplomatic efforts of the daughter of the Bangabandhu government Sheikh Hasina to solve the Rohingya problem have been praised around the world, including the United Nations. Welcoming the diplomatic skills and visionary leadership of the Prime Minister to solve this problem, the world media has awarded Sheikh Hasina the title of ‘Mother of Humanity’. At the same time, heads of state and government from different countries and international organizations visited Bangladesh and expressed their unwavering support for Sheikh Hasina’s steps to solve the Rohingya problem.
He said such statements by the BNP general secretary were indicative of an anti-national conspiracy when Bangladesh’s diplomatic success in solving the Rohingya problem was visible through the verdict of the International Court of Justice. Since the beginning of the Rohingya issue, the BNP has been making false, misleading and conspiratorial statements.
Obaidul Quader said the nation knows that whenever the BNP came to power with the illegal seizure of power by BNP founder Ziaur Rahman, there was no such thing as domestic or foreign policy in Bangladesh except ‘corruption and foreign policy kneeling. ‘ Of course, you cannot expect political or diplomatic etiquette from those who take power illegally.
Obaidul Quader said the nation was disappointed with the BNP secretary general’s false statement. Listening to them, it seems that BNP does not want any solution to the Rohingya crisis.
