Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Secretary General Allama Junaid Babungari said that Allama Ahmad Shafi has played a significant role against wrong doctrines and anti-Islamic activities in the country. In 2013, he called for an unprecedented mass movement against the aggressive display of Islamophobic atheism and the Alem Samaj and Tawhid people of the country.

He said this while addressing a discussion meeting on the life, work and contribution of Shaykhul Islam Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi hosted by Hathazari Ulama Parishad at the Hathazari Post Bungalow facility in Chittagong at 5.30pm on Friday.

Maulana Mohammad Shafi, Vice Chairman of the Ulema Council, chaired the function and Allama Shah Muhibullah Babungari, Senior Naib Amir of Hifazat was present as a guest. At the end of the discussion, he led the munajat.

Former Hathazari Vice President Upazila Parishad, Ulama Parishad Senior Deputy Secretary General Maulana Nasir Uddin Munir, Deputy Secretary Maulana Mir Idris, Deputy Secretary Maulana Jahangir Alam Mehedi were the special speakers at the discussion.
