A Narayanganj court has subpoenaed two senior police officials, including six police officers, DB and CID, who are investigating the case, after the defendant was jailed for six years and Mamun returned alive.
At the same time, the court wanted a written investigative report on the incident.
Aftabuzzaman, Narayanganj’s senior judicial magistrate, approved the order on Friday afternoon.
Among the officers summoned by the court are Model Police Station Fatullah SI Mizanur Rahman, District Police Detective SI Mizanur Rahman, SI Safiqur Rahman, SI Ashraful Islam, Police Inspector Mohammad Afzal Hossain Talukder and Narayanganj CID Deputy Inspector Ziauddin Ujjal. In addition, there are two other senior officials.
From the brief of the case to the charge sheet, the six police officers and the CID who have investigated have been asked to appear in court within seven working days with a written investigation report. In addition, two more senior officers have been summoned.
Narayanganj CID (SP) Police Superintendent Nasir Uddin told the media that the court had summoned the police, DB and CID officials who were involved from the beginning to the end of the case.
