Fatin Itmam Mahmud (23 years old). A man who loves to travel. Whenever he got the chance, he hung out with his friends on his favorite motorcycle.
He left Dhaka around 5pm on Thursday to see the full moon on the beach. Five friends went to Cox’s Bazar. On the way he took a break in Chittagong for over an hour and a half. Arrive at Cox’s Bazar beach around 3:30 pm. He then took a photo and posted it on Facebook. Write in the legend, ‘Chandrahat Cox Bazaar 2020‘. That was Fatin’s last post.
Fatin came down to bathe on the beach adjacent to the Seagull hotel at around 2.30pm on Friday. He was later rescued and sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
The deceased was identified as Fatin Itmam Mahmud, 23, a third-year English student at East-West University in Dhaka. He is the son of Mahmudul Hossain from Basupara C-Block (3rd Colony) in Mirpur.
Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police Superintendent Zillur Rahman confirmed the student’s death, saying that five friends, including Fatin Mahmud, had arrived at Cox’s Bazar on a motorcycle. At noon, they took a swim in the sea adjacent to the Seagull Hotel at low tide. Fatin Itmam Mahmud was lost in the tide. Later in the afternoon, the tourist police rescued Fatin with the help of lifeguards on the beach and sent him to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Zillur Rahman said an unnatural death case is being filed at the Cox’s Bazar Sadar Police Station.
