He also expressed interest in exporting various fruits and vegetables, including mango and pineapple from Bangladesh to Iran, and importing wheat and onion from Iran. The agriculture minister asked the Iranian ambassador to seriously consider onion exports to Bangladesh.
At that time, the Iranian ambassador expressed interest in importing tea, jute, mango, spices and other foods and vegetables from Bangladesh and exporting dates, wheat, onions and raisins to Bangladesh. According to the Iranian ambassador, the price of onion in Iran is relatively low. The issue of export of onions to Bangladesh will be considered with utmost importance. Praising Bangladesh’s success in the field of agriculture, the Iranian Ambassador said that Bangladesh has continued the trend of food production in the Corona situation as a result of the timely and practical measures taken by the Bangladeshi government. Which is very admirable.
Reza Nafar further said that Bangladesh and Iran have the opportunity to work together on many issues, including agriculture. In addition, mutual cooperation between the private sector entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurs of the two countries and the identification of the commercial sector can be taken to strengthen bilateral relations.
