Mizanur confesses to killing Neela with machetes for not agreeing to marry

Mizanur, 20, was pressuring Neela to get married even though she was married. He “confessed” in his statement that he was killed because he did not agree with his proposal.

Quoting his statement, he said that he had liked Neela before Mizanur. Meanwhile, her father married Mizanur to another girl. Even then he couldn’t forget Sapphire.

On the day of the incident, the three ate at a hotel and Sapphire stopped them when she was returning from the hospital with her brother.

Mizanur snatched Neela from her brother and took her to an abandoned house. Mizanur did not agree to the marriage and at one stage of the fight, Mizanur used to stab him in different parts of the body by inserting his neck or hand. When people gathered around Neela and her screaming brother, the three of them fled. Mizanur covered her face with a lungi and fled from an area of ​​Savar to Aricha by bus. Then he was caught by the police.

Sapphire, daughter of Narayan Roy from Baliratech area of ​​Manikganj district, was studying in the tenth class of Ased school, Bank Colony, Savar municipal area. Her family rents a house in Kazi Mokma Para in the municipality.

Sapphire was stabbed to death on the night of September 20 in the Palpara area of ​​Savar municipality.

Neela’s father, Narayan Roy, filed a murder case against Mizanur Rahman, her father Abdur Rahman, and her mother Nazmun Nahar Siddique at the Savar police station the next day.

On the night of September 25, police arrested Mizanur and his two accomplices next to a brick kiln in the Rajfulbaria area of ​​the Savar Tentuljhora union. He was presented in court the next day and asked for a 10-day pre-trial detention, but the judge granted him a seven-day pre-trial detention.

After seven days in pre-trial detention, the police presented him to the Dhaka Magistrates Court on Thursday. At that time, Mizanur voluntarily admitted his responsibility and agreed to give a statement, so the investigation officer in the case, SI Nirmal Chandra from the Savar Police Station, requested the search.

Before Mizanur’s arrest, his father and mother were also interrogated in pre-trial detention.
