Rajshahi: Abdullah Al Mamun, a Master’s student in the Department of Psychology at Rajshahi University (UK) has died. He died at Rajshahi Medical Hospital (RAMEC) on Thursday (October 1) morning.
Abdullah Al Mamun suffered from ulcers and jaundice. However, due to jaundice, his kidney became “obsolete” recently, his classmate and department chairman said.

His classmate Ismail Hossain Johnny said an ICU was needed when Abdullah Al Mamun’s condition deteriorated around 4 in the morning. When they contacted the UCI, they were told there was a vacancy. Obtaining this seat requires the written permission of the hospital director, officials said. Students call the hospital director at night to get a seat; However, he did not pick up the phone. Subsequently, they contacted the professors and alumni of the department and tried to arrange an ICU at the hospital. But Mamun died in the meantime.
