Former Upazila Nirbahi (UN) officer Wahida Khanam from Ghoraghat in Dinajpur has recovered from long-term treatment at a Dhaka hospital after being seriously injured in a terrorist attack. Today he will be discharged from the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital.

In the middle of the night on September 2, the criminals entered the UN government house, beat Wahida Khanam and his father Omar Ali (60) with a hammer and escaped with serious injuries.
Wahida Khanam is an official in the management cadre in the 31st BCS. Her husband Mesbaul Hossain is also an officer of the same cadre in the same group.
