The government has decided to observe a day of mourning for the death of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The Cabinet Division issued a notice Wednesday to observe the state duel on Thursday. The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, died Tuesday at the age of 91. A circular signed by Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said Thursday that a day of state mourning would be observed in Bangladesh following the death of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, a true friend from Bangladesh.
The circular further stated that on this occasion, the national flag will be hoisted at half mast at all government, semi-government and autonomous institutions and educational institutions in Bangladesh and at all government and private buildings and Bangladeshi missions abroad. In addition, special prayers will be held in all mosques in Bangladesh on Thursday. In other religious institutions special prayers will be made for the peace of your soul.
By the way, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah has been the Emir of Kuwait since 2006. Previously, he oversaw the country’s foreign policy for 50 years.
