In the verdict, the judge noted that Rifat’s murder was heinous and disgusting. Ayesha Siddique Minni was involved in the assassination plot. Because Minni went to save her husband at the time of the incident, it seems like it was a strategy to gain sympathy. Before the murder, Minni had spoken to Nayan Bond, the main defendant in the case, 44 times a month and to Nayan Bond 16 times by phone with Minni. Furthermore, messages have been given and received from each other countless times.

Minni’s bail was canceled and he was sent to jail after the verdict was announced around 2.15 p.m. Wednesday. He was sent to the Barguna prison around 3 in the afternoon.

Before the verdict was announced, Minni appeared in court around 9 am on a motorcycle belonging to her father, Mozammel Haque Kishore. She was the only defendant in the case on bail.

On June 26 last year, Nayan Bond and her friends shot and killed Rifat Sharif with a sharp knife in the street in front of Barguna Government College. Rifat Sharif’s father, Abdul Halim Dulal Sharif, filed a murder case against 12 people at the Barguna police station on June 26, making Nayan Bond the main defendant.

Nayan Bond was assassinated on July 2. The plaintiff subsequently filed an application with the Barguna police station on July 8 to charge Minni. Investigator, police inspector. Humayun Kabir arrested Ayesha Siddique Minni on July 16.

On July 19, Minni pleaded guilty in magistrates court and testified under section 164. Minni’s father, Mozammel Haque, filed a request for bail in the Superior Juvenile Court on July 30 after the court judge Barguna district denied him bail.

Ayesha Siddique Minni was released on bail by the Superior Court on August 29. The state appealed to the Supreme Court chamber judge to cancel Minni’s bail. The courtroom judge confirmed the order of the Superior Court of September 2. Until then, Minni was out on bail.

It is worth mentioning that the investigating officer delivered a two-part charge sheet on September 1 of last year charging 24 people in the Rifat murder case. Of these, 10 are adults and 14 are children.

On June 26, 2019, Rifat Sharif was publicly hacked and injured on the road in front of Barguna Government College.
