In Rangpur, a man who works in a private company called Feroz Khan Raju has been accused of using yaba to frame a police officer.

In this incident, the Assistant Deputy Inspector (ASI) of the Metropolitan Police, Sayem, was blocked by the locals. Later, senior police officers rescued him from the blockade and took him to the police station.

The incident took place at noon on Wednesday (September 30) in the area of ​​the Rangpur Metropolitan Checkpoint. Senior police officials have vowed to investigate the victim’s allegations and take action.

Locals in the checkpoint area said Feroz Khan Raju, who works for a private company, went to a tea shop next to his office for tea on Wednesday afternoon. At that time, ASI Sayem tried to drag him by handcuffing him with a yaba tablet in a cigarette pack.

This was obstructed by the locals, including Raju’s colleagues. Later, the agitated crowd blocked the police officer. At the same time, they protested against catching Raju with yaba.

Upon receiving the news, senior Rangpur Metropolitan Police officials rushed to the scene and calmed the situation. They claimed to take action after a proper investigation of the accusations and incidents against the ASI.

Then ASI rescued Sayem from the blockade. Raju’s colleagues and the locals demanded a fair trial for the incident.

Rangpur Metropolitan Police (Crime) Additional Deputy Commissioner Shahidullah Kawsar said: “We are investigating the entire incident, including the allegations.” After the investigation, appropriate action will be taken against the police officer.
