Two days later, on September 17, Hridoy called him at his home on the third floor and said he would speak to a young woman. At one point, he raped her and threatened not to tell anyone about the rape.
Meanwhile, two more students contacted him on September 20 after seeing an announcement on Hridoy’s Facebook saying that he was being given the opportunity to perform on Tiktuk and Like. He also allowed them to stay at his house saying that his heart was racing. The next morning, he took one of them to the third floor of the house and raped her. That night, another student was brutalized. Thus, until September 26, Hridoy kept four students in his house and raped and harassed them in stages.
Hridoy testified under section 164 in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sharafuzzaman Alamgir’s court on Tuesday. According to those interested, in the police and in court, Hridoy confessed to having raped and harassed the four young women, showing them the temptation to be a Tiktuk Laiki model.
Elin Chowdhury, Deputy Commissioner (AC), Badda Zone, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, told reporters that the victims were rescued and sent to the Victim Support Center after learning of the periodic rape. Hridoy was arrested Monday night at his home No. 65 near Pinnacle Pump in Kuril. Three rape victims and one sexual harassment victim have testified in the incident. Police said the alleged rapists were three college students and a schoolgirl among the young women who suffered heart attacks. They are both under 18 years of age. The incidents of rape and harassment occurred between September 18 and 26.
The CO of Bhatara added that Hridoy was imprisoned for a year and a half in a case brought by his ex-wife. At that time they were divorced.
