Dhaka: A young man named Redwan Rasul Hridoy raped four college students by taking them home with the false promise of making a model. Hridoy confessed in court under article 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
On Tuesday (September 29), the investigating officer in the case, the Bhatara SI Hafizur Rahman Police Station, brought the defendant to court and requested a record of voluntary confessional statements. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarafuzzaman Anshari recorded his statement in response to that request. Then he was sent to jail.
Hridoy raped the four at his home in Kurile in the capital from 18 to 26 September. Police arrested Hridoy on Monday night after a student filed a complaint at the Bhatara Police Station.
According to police sources, three of the victims are university students and one is a schoolgirl. They are under 18 years of age. They live in different areas of Dhaka. The heart of the arrest is a serial rapist.
According to police sources, Hridoy organized a party with his friends at a resort in Gazipur on September 12. There are two college students who are interested in becoming models. Two days later, they came to Kurile Hriday’s house through a friend of Hriday’s. They were allowed to stay in a room on the ground floor of the house when the shooting began. Then the heart brutalized the students.
On September 20, two more students contacted Hridoy after seeing an ad on Hridoy’s Facebook saying that they were being given the opportunity to perform on Tiktak and Likes. He also allowed them to stay at his house saying that his heart was racing. The next morning, one of them was brutally taken to the third floor of the house. That night, another student was brutalized. Thus, until September 28, Hridoy kept four students in his home and raped them day after day.
According to the police, Kuril’s house is his. He kept the girls as tenants on the ground floor of the house anonymously. There they found another girl along with four others. However, the young woman claimed that there was no brutality against her.
