A 15-year-old girl from a tribe was arrested and raped in a church in Tanore, Rajshahi. The incident took place at the Saint John Mary Vianni church in Mundmala Mahalipara de la upazila. Father Preep Gagry confessed to raping the girl while she was there. Later, the community leaders took him out of there and brought him to Rajshahi.
Kamel Mardi confirmed the matter. “I don’t know if the girl was taken there voluntarily or by force,” he said. It is unknown at this time what she will do after leaving office.
