Popular Japanese actress Yuko Takeuchi has been found dead in her home. She lived in Tokyo with her husband Taiki.
He was 40 years old.
Takeuchi’s husband found her frozen at home and took her to the hospital. Then the doctor declared the actress dead.
According to Japanese media, the police are investigating the matter, but it is initially thought that Yuko Tekeuchi may have committed suicide.
Yuko Takeuchi is quite popular in Japan. It was featured in 1996 through the horror movie ‘Ringu’. This is a remake of the Hollywood movie ‘The Ring’. She also played the female character Sherlock Holmes on the HBO series ‘Miss Sherlock’ in 2016. It is broadcast in many countries around the world, including the UK.
Yuko Tekeuchi won the Japanese Academy Award for Best Actress for four consecutive years from 2004 to 2006. She has also won many more awards in her long acting career.
Although it is still not sure if Yuko Takeuchi’s death was a suicide, a significant number from the same Japanese star committed suicide this year. These include actress Shei Ashina in early September, actor Haruma Miura in July, and wrestling star Hannah Kimura in May.
