Three arrested
Chittagong: It has been reported that a teenage girl was raped while visiting her girlfriend’s home in Supariwalapara, under the Double Mooring Police Station. Police arrested three people in the incident.
However, the main defendant continues to escape, police said.
All three defendants were sent to jail through court on Monday (September 26) afternoon after their arrest. The incident took place at Chandu Mia’s home in Supariwalapara below the Double Mooring Police Station on Sunday night.
The three detainees are: Nuri Akhter (20) and her husband. Antar (22) and Rajib Hossain (20).
Double Mooring Police Officer in Charge (OC) Sadeep Kumar Das told banglanews that a teenager was allegedly raped while visiting his girlfriend’s home in Supariwalapara. Three people have been arrested in the incident. The main defendant remains at large. An attempt is being made to arrest him.
According to the police, the girl came from Feni a week ago to visit a relative’s home in the Agrabad CDA residential area of the city. From there, head to Nuri Akter’s house on Sunday. Chandu Mia, the owner of Nuri Akter’s house, raped the girl. Others, including Nuri Akhtar, collaborated in the violation.
