Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, Bangladesh’s Chief Legal Officer, was buried next to the grave of Bir Shrestha Shaheed’s Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman. He was buried at 1 pm on Monday (September 26) at the Shaheed Buddhijibi Cemetery in Mirpur, the capital.
At the end of the burial, prayers were offered for the forgiveness of Mahbubey Alam’s soul. Also present at the time were his son and daughter, Judge Obaidul Hasan from the Appeals Division, Superior Court Judge M. Enayetur Rahim, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association Chief Counsel AM Amin Uddin, AIG Police Officer Mahfuzur Rahman Al Mamun.
Previously, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam’s janaza took place at the premises of the beloved Supreme Court. There, his lifelong colleagues said goodbye to him with tears in their eyes. After Janaza at 12:20 pm, his body was taken to the Mirpur Martyrs Intellectual Cemetery.
By the way, the Attorney General was admitted to the CMH Hospital on September 4 with a fever and a sore throat. If the corona test is done the same day, the report is positive. On September 19, his condition deteriorated and he was transferred to the ICU. He died at 6:24 p.m. Sunday (September 26) while receiving treatment there.
