He made the accusation at a press conference at the BNP president’s office in Gulshan on Sunday to highlight the current situation in the country.
Fakhrul said: “The phone I speak to is recorded 24 hours a day, 24 hours a day and it is printed. I saw a copy of that print.
“Yes, no one is left out of this. But it has happened in all parts of society. “
Fakhrul compared the current situation in Bangladesh with that of North Korea.
“It just came to our notice then. There is a picture of North Korea called ‘1984.’ See you if you can. How psychologically, mentally this fear is inserted. As a result, it refrained from protesting.
“You will see that these things have started to happen in Egypt. Even before that, this is happening in North Korea.”
Comparing with those countries, the BNP secretary general described the current situation in Bangladesh as “terrible”.
“I find similarities with Bangladesh. The same thing almost happened. Now the world is like this. Which way will you go, where will you go?
“There was a poem by Nirmalendu Guna – ‘Where are you going to run? There is no way. High mountain ranges in the north, the Bay of Bengal in the south – where are you going to run, there’s no way. “
“But today this has become the only problem for the people of Bangladesh,” Fakhrul said.
