An Appeals Division bench headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain approved the order on Sunday.

The status was brought to the attention of the court by Additional Attorney General Murad Reza. The Appeals Division then issued the earlier order with a hearing.

Attorney Ruhul Quddus Kajal, Clerk of the Supreme Court Bar Association, was also attached to the court at the time.

According to lawyers, Yunus Ali Akand has been cited by the Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Court for granting ‘contempt of court’ status to the virtual court on Facebook. At the same time, he was fired from the bar for two weeks. For two weeks you will not be able to handle any case in the Supreme Court. BTRTC was also instructed to remove its controversial post from Facebook.
