The protests against Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi have raged for days. On Friday, the sixth day of protests, the police died in the repression. Mass protests against the CCB took place in several cities across the country, including the capital Cairo, after Friday prayers. And this protest was called “Rebellion Friday”.

Video footage from a demonstration in Helwan, in the greater Cairo area, shows protesters saying: “Fear not, say it out loud. Sisi must move.” Protesters in the Giza area have been seen setting the streets on fire. Police charged the crowd with batons in the city of Damietta. She also fired to disperse protesters in an area of the city.

Sami Wagdi, a 25-year-old man, was shot and killed by police during a protest rally in the village of Al-Blida in the Giza autonomous region. Three more people were injured in the incident. The protests continued into the night in some places. Netizens are sharing video images of these protests on social media.

The protests began early last week in Giza, one of the main regions of the country. In September last year, thousands of people took to the streets across Egypt at the urging of a former military contractor named Mohammed Ali. On September 20, a year after the incident, Mohammad Ali again called for anti-government protests and the government issued a nationwide warning.

Several activists, including the leftist leader Amin al-Mahdi, were arrested in a raid prior to the protests. Mohammad Ali is a businessman and actor. He said his company was working on an Egyptian army project.

The CC government launched a major campaign to suppress the protests in 2019. According to Amnesty International, the security forces detained several thousand protesters, including hundreds of minors. Al Jazeera
