Weapons, counterfeit money and drugs were also recovered from Dhaka. On 19 July a case was brought to the Uttara West Police Station for the seizure of weapons from Uttara in Dhaka. The investigating officer submitted the charge sheet on July 30 after a quick investigation of the case. When the case was sent to the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court of Judges for trial, Sahed’s trial began on August 28 with the formation of charges. A few days later, the testimony began on September 10. The testimony ended on September 15 in just five days. The arguments of the state attorneys and the defendants ended on September 20. Then the day of the trial was set on September 26.
Arguments are being made in the arms case against Papia
Shamima Noor Papia, the expelled leader of the Women’s Youth League, was accused of keeping young women in respectable hotels and forcing them to participate in immoral activities. After her arrest at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on February 22, one accusation after another began to surface against her. Subsequently, several cases were brought against her for possession of weapons, drugs, money laundering and money counterfeiting. Among these cases, a charge sheet was filed on June 29 in the gun law case filed at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station on February 23. The case was then sent to the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court for trial. The trial of Papia and her husband Mofizur Rahman aka Sumon Chowdhury aka Moti Sumon began on August 25. The testimony phase in the case has now ended. Now the lawyers present their arguments. Papia is scheduled to present arguments in the case on Sunday. This episode can end today. The court will set the verdict date only after the presentation of arguments.
Dr. testimonies continue in the case against Sabrina and her husband Arif
