A husband has been accused of gang-raping his wife in the dormitory of MC College in Sylhet. Upon receiving the news, the police went to the bedroom at 11 pm on Friday and rescued the spouses.
It was learned that on Friday night the husband and wife went to visit MC College. At that time, 5-6 people from the university campus forcibly took them to the university dormitory.
They gang-raped the wife while keeping her husband in a room there. The victim is currently in treatment at the OCC at Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahparan Police Station Kaiyum Chowdhury said the couple was rescued. He said the matter was being investigated.
MC College Shelter Superintendent Jamal Uddin said: “I have heard who keeps husband and wife in shelter.” Later the police came to rescue them. He declined to comment further.
MC College principal Saleh Ahmed said police were on the scene. They are investigating the matter. However, as far as I know, the husband and wife have been detained at the shelter.
According to local sources, drug addicts and gamers go to the unprotected dormitory at CoronaCail every day from afternoon to night.
