Dhaka: Saudi Arabian Airlines has started selling tickets for the second day. Tickets went on sale at the Hotel Sonargaon office around 10 am on Friday (September 25).
Saudi Airlines officials said 350 token holders had been called in on Friday. It has been called a little less since it is a weekly holiday and Friday. However, if there is time, the tickets will be delivered according to the next serial.
Zahid Hossain, general manager of Saudi Airlines, said that those who came to the country after purchasing return tickets would get tickets in phases. Everyone has to wait in a hurry, without pushing.
Saudi Airlines officials said tickets would now only be given to those who had returned home after the return from the Covid-19 outbreak. No new tickets will be issued.
For the past six days, Saudi travelers have stayed in front of the airline’s office at the Sonargaon Hotel to buy plane tickets. On Wednesday (September 23), the Saudi government extended Ikama’s mandate for 24 days. Additionally, expats have expressed their relief at the increase in flights by Saudi Airlines and Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
