Lock out the building, 6 families hostage inside!

Everyone inside the house in Narayanganj has been locked by the folding door demanding extortion.

Eight families living in a three-story building have been charged with taking the folding door hostage. A man named Masood Rana has been accused of holding them hostage over a dispute over the land. The incident took place in a house in the Mouchak de Siddhirganj market area in Narayanganj. The owners allege that they were held hostage from 10 am to 11 pm on Thursday. The accused Masud Rana is a local leader of the Awami League.

Juba League leader Masud Neta also threw Pachil out of the door so that no one could leave the house.  Later, the police tore it up.

However, Siddhirganj OC Kamrul Farooq Police Station claimed that the police went to the scene at night and released them from the hostage situation. However, Nazrul Islam Rony, the son of Jabbar Miah, the owner of the van, said at 11pm that he had taken us hostage by demanding a ransom of 1.5 million taka. We are still hostages. There are police in front of our house. But the police have yet to break the lock on the folding door.

A Juba League leader closed the folding door and held six families hostage throughout the day to demand money from this house in Narayanganj.

Nazrul Islam Rony further said, we have bought another house next to the house. Since then, Masood Rana has been torturing us in various ways. Masud Rana has demanded 15 lakh rupees from us. He locked us in the folding door of the building from 10 am to midnight on Thursday and held us hostage for not paying our fees. None of us could leave the house from 10 in the morning.

Said the Siddhirganj police chief. Kamrul Farooq said that Masood Rana has a dispute with Rony over the land. Due to this dispute, the road was blocked with a small wall in front of the house. They also closed the door of the building. Later the police came to rescue them. In this case, if they complain, the necessary measures will be taken.
